Faith-filled fun for kids of all ages.

At St. Matthew’s, we love helping kids grow in their relationship with Jesus. Explore the opportunities below to see how your child can get connected.

Sunday School

Making Sundays a fun day for kids, too!

Sundays at St. Matthew's have something for everyone. Between services, Sunday School is a place for kids to learn and grow in their faith. They'll learn Bible stories, do crafts, sing songs and more!

Note: Sunday School pauses for summer, but extended care is available for birth–4th grade during adult Bible study. Kids 5th grade and up are welcome to join the adult study.

Pioneers

Adventures that build faith and character.

The Lutheran Pioneers program at St. Matthew’s is designed to help boys and girls in grades 1–8 grow in character, confidence, and Christian values. Through hands-on activities, outdoor adventures, and service projects, kids build life skills and lasting friendships.

Pioneers meet about once a month throughout the school year for activities like woodworking, fire-building, first aid, and camping trips. Each meeting also includes a devotion, grounding every skill learned in God’s Word. It’s a unique way to help kids grow in faith while exploring God’s creation and learning to serve others.

New families are always welcome to join. Contact us for the current meeting schedule.

Vacation Bible School

A week of fun, faith, and friendship.

Each summer, kids age 3 through 6th grade are invited to a week of adventure during our Vacation Bible School. Through engaging Bible stories, upbeat songs, fun games, hands-on crafts, and high-energy activities, kids learn just how much Jesus loves them.
VBS is a great opportunity for kids to build friendships, explore faith in an age-appropriate way, and get excited about Jesus. Each year has a unique theme, but the heart of the message stays the same: Jesus is our Savior and friend!

Registration for 2025 is now closed. Registration for our 2026 program will open next Spring!
