Nursery

Loving Care for Your Little One
At First Steps, our Nursery Room is a warm, nurturing space designed for infants aged 6 weeks to 9 months. We create individualized feeding schedules to support each child’s unique needs and growth pace. Throughout the day, infants enjoy age-appropriate activities, including tummy time, sensory play, sign language, and music, all tailored to encourage early development.
In addition to engaging activities, we share daily Bible stories and songs, surrounding each child with the love of Jesus. Our research-based HighScope Curriculum is integrated into the Nursery, fostering cognitive and social growth in a Christian environment. Parents are welcome to be an active part of their child’s experience, with open invitations to observe and interact in the classroom.

Our Infants Room at First Steps welcomes children ages 9 to 18 months, offering a caring environment where they begin learning basic social skills and develop at their own pace. Our child-focused HighScope Curriculum provides enriching experiences, including stories, music, art, sign language, motor activities, and outdoor play. Daily Bible stories and songs are part of each day, helping create a nurturing environment that fosters cognitive and social development as they prepare for the toddler program.
Parents are encouraged to be actively involved, with open invitations to observe and engage in their child’s classroom.

Daily Bible stories and songs are also part of our routine, creating a nurturing atmosphere where young learners grow and thrive.
Parents are encouraged to actively participate in their child’s care and learning, and are always welcome to observe and engage in the classroom.

We follow the HighScope Curriculum, which includes circle time for learning colors, letters, numbers, and calendar concepts like days of the week, months, and weather. Each day is filled with enriching activities like stories, music and movement, art, motor skill exercises, and outdoor play. Daily Bible stories and songs also bring joy to their day, providing a loving foundation as they grow.

At First Steps, we offer before and after school care, as well as care on days off from school, for children ages 5 to 13. Our programs provide a safe, supportive environment with engaging activities tailored to each age group.
During Before and After School Care, We Offer:
